Some hard questions we hope to address: Why are they here? Are they depressing wages? Are they taking jobs from non-immigrant North Carolinians?

4:00-5:00 pm Film: Morristown: in the Air and Sun

Film photoFilmed over an 8-year period in the mountains of east Tennessee, interior Mexico, and Ciudad Juarez, Morristown: in the Air and Sun is rooted in the authentic expression of workers who speak about their lives, work, disappointments, and hope. These conversations are combined with scenes in factories, fields, union halls, Mexican stores, city parks, and employment agencies. Run time: 60minutes

*The FedEx Global Education Center is located on the corner of Pittsboro and McCauley St. in Chapel Hill. It is next door to the School of Social Work and behind the Pharmacy School. Directions from Franklin St: Turn LEFT onto S. Columbia St. from Franklin St. Follow the road through a couple of lights, it will force you to go right, and then take a LEFT turn onto Pittsboro St. you will pass the Carolina Inn on your left. At the next light, you will see the building in front of you. Turn left onto McCauley Street and then right after you pass the building on your right. The parking entrance is under the building on the right and open on weekends.
