Children's classCLASSES FOR CHILDREN

CHICLE has a strong Spanish program for children that has been going since 2001. Many children have attended since the program began. The program teaches children from ages 3-12. During the school year, we offer one-hour per week classes and during the summer we have week-long morning summer camps. The program is interactive and most of the materials have been designed by staff and teach the language while the children are having fun.

Our children's French program is growing. We are offering Italian summer camps in 2008 for children from 3-12 years old.

Chicle expands its Italian offerings this summer with week-long camps offered for children ages 3-12. A major objective of the program is that the child learns that it is great fun to use a new language and to experience an interesting and different culture. This lively camp experience will give your child the opportunity to understand and communicate in Italian through games, songs, rhymes, storytelling, skits, conversation, hands-on activities and arts and crafts. Positive reinforcement is used as the child builds upon single words and phrases, gradually progressing to simple sentences and then to stories.

The Italian camp program is taught by Nicole Librandi, who has taught languages for many years, specializing in developing programs for children. She is fluent in Italian and for the past 15 years has been teaching Italian to students of all ages.
