French classes at CHICLE are regularly scheduled in four- or six-week
sessions. Unless you have never studied French before, please
take our online placement
test to determine which level is appropriate for you.
We offer group French classes that are grammar and conversational-based, additional
conversation, writing, history, and literature courses. Classes
are small, with from three to eight students per class.
The basic French classes usually meet once a week for an hour and a half over a
six week session, for a total of nine hours. We use a variety of published materials
for these classes. Groups often continue to meet over multiple sessions, moving at
a comfortable pace. Cost for a six week session is $170 plus the cost of materials.
Private instruction is scheduled at the student's convenience.
Cost is $40/hour for one student, $30/hour/student for two students.
We also offer week-long immersion sessions for
French teachers during the summer.
