CHICLE was formed in 1999 in response to the rapid increase of immigrants to our
area. We are a locally and women owned business, located in downtown Carrboro, adjacent
to Chapel Hill. We are on the third floor above the Weaver Street Market, a vibrant
location and center for Carrboro.
Besides teaching a variety of languages to children and adults, we also do translations,
provide interpreters for many languages, and offer cultural training sessions. We
regularly present cultural talks and videos on weekends. We also make arrangements
for students to study intensively in Mexico and Costa Rica.
Our goal is to meet the language needs of the Triangle community. If
you are interested in a service that we do not currently offer, please let us know.
We keep a list of requests and try to fulfill them when we can.
