CHICLE is located at 101 East Weaver St., Carrboro, above the Weaver Street Market.
The entrance to the building is through large glass doors that face the market's
parking lot. Take the elevator or walk up to the third floor. You'll find us through
the first door on the left.
You may park anywhere in the Carr Mill parking area or in the public lot on the
other side of Franklin Street. There are also usually plenty of spaces on the far
side of the mall - near Harris Teeter and the drug store. You can then walk through
the mall to get to our entrance.
There is additional parking available in a large
lot on Roberson Street that runs parallel to Main St. Coming from Chapel Hill, take
a left at the light just before Armadillo Grill, then bear right and parking is on
your left before the EMS station.
Parking may be tight during the summer on Thursday nights when Weaver St. Market
has outdoor music and food and wine. So be sure to allow a little extra time to find
a space if you have an evening Thursday class.
Driving Directions to Weaver Street Market and CHICLE in Carrboro
From Franklin Street/ Chapel Hill/ UNC Campus
Drive West on Franklin Street towards Carrboro. As you enter Carrboro and Franklin
Street becomes Main Street, continue on Main Street for a little under ½ a
mile. When you cross the railroad tracks, make an immediate right turn into the
Carr Mill Mall parking lot at the traffic light.
From Raleigh/ I-40 West
On I-40 west, take exit number 273 to Chapel Hill. Follow the signs for US 15-501
South/NC-54W toward Carrboro/Pittsboro. This road merges onto S. Fordham Blvd, which
becomes NC-54 W. [15-501 South will split off toward Pittsboro. Stay on NC-54W.]
Look for the Merritt Mill Rd/ South Greensboro Street exit. Turn left off the ramp
onto Merritt Mill Road and go to the traffic light at the bottom of the hill. Turn
right onto S. Greensboro Street, go up to the hill to the first light, and turn
right onto Main Street. Go to the next traffic light and turn left into the Carr
Mill Mall parking lot.
From Greensboro/ I-40 East/ Hillsborough
On I-40 east, take exit number 266 (NC 86) in the direction of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.
Go 2½ miles and turn right on Estes Drive Extension, following the sign to
Carrboro. Estes Drive ends at Greensboro Street, where you turn left. Travel on
Greensboro Street to the first traffic light, which is Weaver Street, and turn left.
Go to the next traffic light and turn left into our parking lot. Be careful making
this last turn: it's a three-way intersection and oncoming traffic usually has a
green light.
From Durham/Duke/15-501
Drive South on US 15-501 toward Chapel Hill. Follow the North Fordham Boulevard/
US 15-501 South signs, and continue to follow as South Fordham Boulevard becomes
NC-54 Bypass West. Look for the Merritt Mill Rd/ South Greensboro Street exit. Turn
left off the ramp onto Merritt Mill Road and go to the traffic light at the bottom
of the hill. Turn right onto S. Greensboro Street, go up to the hill to the first
light, and turn right onto Main Street. Go to the next traffic light and turn left
into the Carr Mill Mall parking lot.
